Since the last issue, we have had the sad news of the death of John Thaw. He was a gifted actor with a wider range than perhaps was generally realised. I saw him give a wonderfully moving performance as the father in Arthur Miller’s All My Sons on stage in Machester in the eighties. But, for the majority, he will be forever etched in the memory as Colin Dexter’s masterly creation, Chief Inspector Morse.
In this issue, we pay tribute to John Thaw’s Morse, but as always we have a varied mix of items from the world of Sherlock Holmes and crime fiction, too...
