We are fifty! By we I mean the magazine, of course. To reach this number for a specialised magazine in a harsh publishing world is, I think, something of an achievement. It was started just over eleven years ago by Liz Wiggins. I wrote for the magazine from the start and assumed the role of editor when Peter Harkness took over. I first sat in the Editorial chair six years ago with issue 17, and I’ve been at it ever since.

But this year I finally got my wish - to call the magazine SHERLOCK. It’s a title suggesting our homage to Mr Holmes but also using thename generically as a symbol for all detecitves and exciting crime fiction. There are more thoughts on our half century in the magazine...
