It seems these days that anniversaries are around every corner. In this issue we celebrate two. Gavin Collinson in his in-depth feature for Sherlock on Screen pays tribute to Sherlock Holmes and the Voice of Terror the first of the Universal modernised Holmes movies of the forties starring Basil Rathbone. 

He reminds us that this somewhat englected treasure is celebrating its diamond anniversary this summer.In connection with that film and more particularly its start, I was reminded that 13 June sees the anniversary of the birth of Basil Rathbone. One hundred and ten years ago, this most potent of Sherlockian actors and icons was born. Certainly he was the man who brought me to Sherlock Holmes...
